Omega Phi Alpha is thrilled to announce the re-forming of the Kansas City Provisional Alumnae Chapter. Omega Phi Alpha’s alumnae chapter coordinator April Carroll (Mu) met Corey Goodburn (Alpha Kappa)\ earlier this year through the Book Buzz virtual book club, and from there began talking about the possibility of getting the Kansas City Provisional Alumnae Chapter together again. Within a month, Carroll was meeting with a team of fantastic sisters who all wanted to gather in the Kansas City area. During the meeting, they started coming up with ideas and ways to support local active chapters and have elected officers. The officers of the new provisional chapter are as follows:

  • Co-Directors: Whitney Klump (Alpha Kappa), Ashley Reece (Alpha Kappa), and Brittan Kracht (Alpha Kappa)
  • National Liaison: Mallory Sconzert (Alpha Kappa)
  • Treasurer: Corey Goodburn (Alpha Kappa)
  • Secretary: Alexandra Arnold (Alpha Pi)

The provisional chapter had 25 members for their petition and have really taken on the embodiment of what an Alumnae Chapter should be. Even with the pandemic, the sisters were able to host a masked and socially-distanced meet- and- greet at a local park. The provisional chapter has already planned and hosted numerous events, and they have met all alum chapter requirements. They are looking forward to gaining their official Greek letters and are excited to see the chapter grow!
