Omega Phi Alpha Foundation

The Omega Phi Alpha Foundation empowers the members of Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority to create a meaningful impact in the world through leadership, education, and volunteer service while developing lifetime friendships.

Established in 2019 as a 501(c)(3), the Foundation provides a means for members of Omega Phi Alpha, their families, and other community members to further the sorority’s mission through tax-deductible gifts. Funds received are used to develop leadership, provide service to humanity, and strengthen skills that build and promote meaningful friendships at the chapter, district, and national levels.

Omega Phi Alpha Foundation donors are passionate about their giving. The Foundation has worked to create giving opportunities within the annual fund that fit your desired priorities.

  • Organizational development which supports the operational and staffing needs of the Omega Phi Alpha Foundation & Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority
  • Collegiate & alumnae leadership training which supports leadership workshops and events such as District Summits, and the national convention & leadership conference
  • Service which supports collegiate chapter service projects & national service project initiatives
  • Scholarships and education which supports the Pamela McCullough McEwen Memorial Scholarship

All gifts made to the annual fund are unrestricted gifts and include but are not limited to the priorities listed above, and all gifts can also be made in honor or in memory of a friend, sorority member or family member.

Foundation History

Bringing the Omega Phi Alpha Foundation to reality was a life-long dream of former national president and “treasurer/VP finance for life,” the late Pamela McCullough McEwen (Epsilon). Pam longed for a way for Omega Phi Alpha to accept tax-deductible donations, apply for grants, and receive employer-matching contributions, ensuring that the members of Omega Phi Alpha would have the resources necessary to make a meaningful impact on the world through service. We joyfully celebrate that on April 8, 2019, Pam’s dream came true.
