The Omega Phi Alpha Foundation empowers the members of Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority to create a meaningful impact in the world through leadership, education, and volunteer service while developing lifetime friendships.
Established in 2019 as a 501(c)(3), the Foundation provides a means for members of Omega Phi Alpha, their families, and other stakeholders to further the sorority’s mission through tax-deductible gifts. Funds received are used to develop leadership, provide service to humanity, and strengthen skills that build and promote meaningful friendships at the chapter, district, and national levels.
Bringing the Omega Phi Alpha Foundation to reality was a life-long dream of former national president and “treasurer/VP finance for life,” the late Pamela McCullough McEwen (Epsilon). Pam longed for a way for Omega Phi Alpha to accept tax-deductible donations, apply for grants, and receive employer-matching contributions, ensuring that the members of Omega Phi Alpha would have the resources necessary to make a meaningful impact on the world through service. We joyfully celebrate that on April 8, 2019, Pam’s dream came true.
The Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of Omega Phi Alpha alumnae who provide strategic oversight for the Foundation’s programs.
Led by Omega Phi Alpha’s Executive Director, an operational team of volunteers implements fundraising and grant-making activities.
