Although the normal operations of the organization require the use of the individual members personal information, Omega Phi Alpha is committed to managing that information in a way that respects the individual members privacy. This includes address and other contact information as well as images of members.
Addresses and phone numbers for each member will be made available to officers in Omega Phi Alpha whose role requires that information. It will not be made available to other members of the sorority unless the individual member has granted consent to share her contact information internally. Membership contact data will not be shared with persons outside the organization except to cooperate with governmental agencies who follow legal channels.
Email addresses will be used to contact members unless the member has opted out of communication by this channel. Mass communications will be structured so that the individual email addresses of the recipients are not visible to other recipients. Email addresses will not be shared with persons outside the organization except to cooperate with governmental agencies who follow legal channels.
Photos of individual members who are identified by name will not be published in print or electronic media without the permission of the individual member. Group photos, which may include members of the organization as well as others, can be published if they do not identify any individual members.
Participation in a national or district organizational event like the annual convention or a new chapter induction implies consent to use photos of members captured at that event.
