The Pamela McCullough McEwen Scholarship Award

About the Pamela McCullough McEwen Scholarship Award

The Omega Phi Alpha Scholarship Trust was established to acknowledge members who have demonstrated a high degree of dedication to OPhiA with some financial assistance toward their educational goals.

In 2019, the convention delegation and the trustees renamed the award the Pamela McCullough McEwen Scholarship Award. Pamela gave the sorority more than two decades of national OPhiA experience, most of them as vice president of finance or national treasurer.

She passed away in 2017, a few months after she celebrated OPhiA’s 50th anniversary. Read more about Pamela.

Now a part of the Omega Phi Alpha Foundation, the Pamela McCullough McEwen Scholarship Award is administered by the Omega Phi Alpha Foundation Board of Directors.

Any lifetime member enrolled in higher education (both undergraduate and graduate studies) who is in good academic standing and has been an active member for at least one full semester is eligible to apply.
