This project involved holding a voter registration drive in the University of Kansas Student Union. The chapter partnered with both the Center for Service Learning and Students Demand Action to provide resources and swag to encourage voter registration.
The purpose of this project was to increase civic engagement among our peers and encourage voter registration for upcoming elections. The members helped students who may not have been registered or may not have had access to resources to register to vote. They worked diligently to ensure that all eligible students had the opportunity to register, regardless of their political affiliation or background. The project was a success, as Alpha Kappa Chapter was able to register a significant number of students during the multiple day-long drive.
And their collaboration with the Center for Service Learning and Students Demand Action allowed them to reach a wider audience and make a greater impact on the University Community.
