Happy National Volunteer Week!
As members of OPhiA, from PNMs to Diamond Alumni, we’ve collectively amassed some pretty impactful volunteer service hours through the years. While our sisterhood continues to grow in years and size, one area of volunteer service remains essential to the future of our organization: Members of the sorority.
Omega Phi Alpha would not exist without the passion and dedication of our national team, who volunteers their time to the members of the sorority to keep our sisterhood going. We are all members of this organization of volunteers, RUN BY volunteers.
As our chapters volunteer in their university community, there are alumni volunteers behind the scenes ensuring chapters have the resources they need.
As members gather to chat about a good book, alumni volunteers are organizing behind the scenes.
Members requested virtual yoga classes, and an alum volunteered her skills to lead.
When students at a university express interest in starting a new OPhiA chapter, our national volunteers spend their free time guiding students to become an official chapter.
When alumni requested an organized sisterhood event in New York City, an alum volunteered to organize it… even if no one showed up.
We would not exist without our Operational Leadership Team volunteering to serve and support US – the members of the sorority!
To our volunteers throughout the years:
Thank you for your dedication to our sorority and commitment to our purpose. Thank you for making this sisterhood a welcoming and supportive home for so many. Thank you for being some of the kindest, most fun people we’ve ever met. Thank you so much for all you do!
