On September 15, 2021, we kicked off our first sorority-wide service project of the year, collecting pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
In an effort to increase excitement and engagement, the Board of Directors would like to challenge chapters to a friendly competition. Any chapter that collects more pop tabs per active member than what the Board collects per board member will be included in a drawing to receive $350 towards a service project this semester or next. Is there a service project you’ve been wanting to plan but don’t have the budget for supplies? This is your opportunity to make a run for the funding.
We’ve reached out to Service Directors and asked chapters that haven’t yet participated to schedule this project for this semester and engage their alumni. Increase your pop tabs by reaching out to your chapter’s alumni and asking them to collect on your behalf. Any pop tabs collected by alumni will count towards your per active member average.
In addition to being entered to win funds for a future service project, this is a great opportunity to earn service hours in both the community at large and members of the sorority areas of service. Chapter Service Directors should review this resource for more information on this project and reach out to Kristen Brightwell ([email protected]) with any questions.
How many pop tabs will your chapter collect?
This project and competition ends on February 28, 2022. Chapters must report total pop tabs no later than March 20, 2022 to be entered into the drawing. Winner will be announced by March 31, 2022.
