East Lyme, Conn. (Dec. 20, 2021) – The Board of Directors of Omega Phi Alpha, a leading national community service sorority, is pleased to announce that Alexandra (Aly) Inglish (Alpha Kappa) has filled the role of Vice President of Lifetime Membership. Inglish will serve through July 2023, which marks the end of the current Board of Directors term.

In the Vice President of Lifetime Membership role, Inglish will provide strategic oversight and planning of the sorority membership, from recruitment of new collegiate members and prospective chapters through alumni membership and engagement.

Inglish brings a vast array of member experiences to her role as Vice President of Lifetime Membership including a previous term of service on Omega Phi Alpha’s former National Executive Board.

“As a Founding Member of Alpha Kappa Chapter at the University of Kansas, I was very invested in all things Omega Phi Alpha for many years,” says Inglish. “I’ve been part of pretty much every type of membership with Omega Phi Alpha. I’ve been a founding member, a new member, active, chapter leader, national leader, alumni member, LOA member… I’ve done it all. Through those experiences I think I have unique insight on some of the challenges and benefits that face our members in each phase of their experience.”

Outside of Omega Phi Alpha, Inglish works for Girl Scouts of NE Kansas & NW Missouri as Brand Manager – Adult Experience, where she works to engage adult volunteers and promotes adult volunteer involvement with Girl Scouts.

“Working with Girl Scouts, I’ve learned the ins and outs of how we reward girls for high level planning and implementation of service projects that have a global connection,” English remarks. “I think bringing my experience in the non-profit and service-focused space will help fuel Omega Phi Alpha’s strategic vision of how we can support our members and enhance their membership experience. Also, working with nonprofits I’ve learned the importance of being fiscally responsible, so I feel well-positioned to help the Omega Phi Alpha focus our resources where they can best support members.”

Inglish is most excited to contribute to the future of Omega Phi Alpha and impact our diverse membership base.  “We’re all stronger when we have a variety of diverse voices,” Inglish points out. “There’s so much good we can do when we mobilize a group of service-minded individuals, and I am thrilled to be able to continue to expand our footprint and impact. Through service we are creating real change, across the world, and it is really incredible. I’m excited to see how we can continue to do good.”
