Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority is thrilled to announce a new expansions effort this fall. The national expansions team intends to establish a new collegiate chapter at Duke University in Spring 2021, and aims to create a positive and lasting legacy rooted in friendship, leadership, and service.

Omega Phi Alpha is currently seeking individuals enrolled at Duke University who are passionate about community service and leadership. A prospective new member interested in joining the expansions process at Duke will experience impactful service and fellowship activities while learning skills dedicated to leadership development. At the end of the expansion process a prospective new chapter will be inducted as an official chapter of Omega Phi Alpha and the founding members will have created an opportunity for students to make a lasting impact through service for years to come.

“As a founding member of the Omega Phi Alpha chapter at West Virginia University, I gained valuable leadership and service opportunities that set me up for success later in life. Omega Phi Alpha has and continues to fuel my passion for helping others,” says Omega Phi Alpha Expansions Director Summer Ray.

“The greater Raleigh-Durham, NC area is home to Alpha Lambda Chapter at North Carolina State University and many Omega Phi Alpha alumni,” Ray adds. “With unwavering support and guidance from local sisters, Duke would be a great location to establish a chapter. Our expansion efforts in the area would make a lasting impact on student engagement within the Duke university community and the community-at-large.”

For additional information or to assist with establishing a prospective chapter at Duke, email Expansions Director Summer Ray at [email protected]. To learn more about the expansion process, virtual information meetings will be held on September 29th and 30th.
