Actives and alumni from all over the country have formed a Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and our team is working together to make Omega Phi Alpha a place that fosters and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusivity.
Omega Phi Alpha has partnered with Jessica Sharp of Sharp Brain Consulting as our first Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Support Partner. Sharp Brain Consulting is an organizational development firm that uses brain education to improve organizational outcomes. Sharp Brain Consulting was started in 2017 by Jessica Sharp. Jessica has a Master’s of Public Affairs from the University of Missouri and is currently a student at William James College where she is obtaining a Doctorate in Leadership Psychology. Jessica was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha in college.
As Omega Phi Alpha’s DEI Support Partner, Jessica will be performing an organizational audit of Omega Phi Alpha to examine the state of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The first step of this audit is for members to respond to an anonymous survey that she has created to help her team assess the experiences of our members. This information will be critical in helping Omega Phi Alpha in our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
This survey is available on Monday, Nov. 9, for all members to complete in OPAportal. Your response is anonymous and due by Monday, Nov. 23. We hope all members will take this survey and add their voice to this discussion.
If you have any questions or feedback about the survey, please email me at [email protected].
