Dear Omega Phi Alpha,
As our 2024 national convention draws near, I find myself eagerly anticipating the opportunity to gather with each of you and celebrate the remarkable bonds of sisterhood and camaraderie that define our beloved sorority. As we reflect on the moments of service, growth, and sisterhood cultivated through this year’s President’s project “Helping Hands,” I am filled with gratitude for the incredible dedication and passion displayed by each of you.
Since the announcement of “Helping Hands” last summer, our collective efforts have not only made a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve but have also strengthened the fabric of our organization. From volunteering at local shelters to organizing community clean-up events, each chapter’s commitment to this initiative has fostered connections and friendships that transcend geographical boundaries.
At our 2024 convention in Greenville, aptly themed “Helping Hands for Life,” we will celebrate not only the culmination of our collective efforts and the profound impact of our service projects but also forge new connections and deepen existing bonds. It is a time to uplift one another, share experiences, and inspire one another to continue our journey of service and personal growth.
In addition to fostering sisterhood, Convention provides a vital forum for discussing important matters of business and governance. Through thoughtful deliberation and collaboration, we will address key issues and chart the course for the future of Omega Phi Alpha. This aspect of convention underscores our commitment to organizational excellence and ensures the continued success of our sorority.
I extend a heartfelt invitation to all sisters and members who are able to attend this year’s convention to join us in celebrating one year of service with helping hands.
