The Collegiate Membership Team oversees the collegiate membership programs and national requirements which includes recruitment activity and new member education. The goals of this team are to increase membership through recruitment that is aligned with Omega Phi Alpha’s core values.

With the assistance of this team educating chapters on non-selective recruitment and recruitment practices that align with our values, our membership numbers have significantly increased over the past two semesters and have met our pre-pandemic numbers.
Over the last year, this team has diligently worked to make our new member education program, OPA 101, a standardized, asynchronous course available to all new members on OPAportal. We’ve seen great success with transitioning this from pen and paper to virtual and doing this has allowed Membership Directors to focus more on building sisterhood and leadership through service with the new member class.
