Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority promotes friendship, leadership development, and community service in several ways. Active collegiate chapters are established throughout the country at colleges and universities to serve these ideals. University students can join Omega Phi Alpha during a recruitment period, serve as active members throughout their collegiate career, and become lifetime alumnae members when they graduate, transfer, or leave the university.
Currently, Omega Phi Alpha has 27 active chapters which include two of the three founding chapters. Sets of two to four chapters that are close to each other geographically are grouped into districts. If you are looking to attend a college or university that does not have an OPA chapter, start one! See the Start a Chapter page for more information. Chapters can be emailed this way: chapter_name@omegaphialpha.org (replace “chapter_name” with actual chapter name, i.e., alpha@omegaphialpha.org or alpha_alpha@omegaphialpha.org).
As lifetime members, alumnae can benefit from many leadership opportunities and continue to promote the principles of OPA. Visit the Alumnae page for a list of alumnae chapters and other programs.
