We will be preparing school supply bags for students for the 2017–18 academic school year.
The CCSC* Back to School program offers school supplies and uniforms to over 6,600 students in need in the Houston area. Because of this service, children are better prepared to start the academic year.
Children six and up are welcome to join us. Dress is casual. Please wear your letters.
Please email with questions.
Since 1986, the *Christian Community Service Center has offered a Back to School program to meet the basic needs of school-aged children. Students who participate in this program lack academic supplies and clothing/uniforms needed to start the year on equal footing with their more advantaged peers. Each child received a complete package of grade-appropriate supplies and a voucher for a new school uniform and/or shoes. This program not only physically prepares children with academic tools, but increases overall self-esteem and mental readiness for learning. In 2016, 6,603 students (pre-kindergarten through eighth grade) were assisted.
