Omega Phi Alpha

Overview
Omega Phi Alpha is an organization focused on promoting friendship, leadership, and service. Chapters are created throughout the country at colleges and universities to serve these ideals. University students are able to join Omega Phi Alpha during a rush period, serve as active members throughout their collegiate career, and eventually become alumnae. As alumnae, members can participate in a great deal of leadership opportunities, benefiting from and promoting the principles of Omega Phi Alpha long beyond their collegiate years.

Mission
The mission of Omega Phi Alpha is service. We provide opportunities for leadership and friendship through training and participation in service activities. Our hope is that our members will become life-long, service-minded leaders. We strive to better the lives of others worldwide by collaborating with organizations and volunteering through a flexible service program.

Motto
The national motto is “Today’s Friends, Tomorrow’s Leaders, Forever in Service.” It is a motto which members of Omega Phi Alpha hold dear to their hearts.

Purpose
The purpose and goals of this sorority shall be to assemble its members in the fellowship of Omega Phi Alpha, to develop friendship, leadership, and cooperation by promoting service to the university community, to the community at-large, to the members of the sorority, and to the nations of the world.

Principles
The three cardinal principles are friendship, leadership and service.
