Petitioning for a board position:

To ensure we get the best possible women for the positions, the national petition for office includes questions about your background and asks for three references–we recommend the references include one professional, one personal, and one Omega Phi Alpha member, we also ask that you submit a resume and a photo (preferably a head shot).

You should also know that if you are elected to a fiscally responsible position, you would enter office pending a criminal background check.

Candidates who file their petition at least three weeks prior to convention are reimbursed half of their convention travel expenses.

Any petition submitted will be posted online for the delegation to see in advance, pending your permission.  The only information posted will be your picture and Omega Phi Alpha information you provided.  Candidate information will be posted two weeks prior to convention.

Applications are available here.  Please send your petition packets and any questions to the VP of Administration.
