National Donation - General

When you make a general donation to the National Organization, the dollars will be used to fund Omega Phi Alpha’s general operating budget.  The general operating budget of Omega Phi Alpha covers things such as officer budgets, convention expenses, chevron printing, etc.  Your donation will be included in the general donation revenue line item and budgeted where it is most needed as determined by the Convention Delegation.

National Donation – Specific Project

When you make a donation to the National Organization for a specific project, such as convention expenses, expansions, leadership materials, your donation is earmarked for that specific purpose.  Steps will be taken to ensure that your money is spent exactly as you intended – and it cannot be used for any other purpose.

Alumnae Program Donations - General

When you make a general donation to the alumnae program, the dollars will be used to fund the alumnae program budget. The alumnae program budget covers things such as convention activities for alumnae, alumnae training activities, alumnae insignia, etc. Your donation will be included in the alumnae donation revenue line item and budgeted where it is most needed as determined by the Convention Delegation.

Alumnae Program Donation – Specific Project

When you make a donation to the Alumnae Program for a specific project, such as alumnae recognition, alumnae awards, etc, your donation is earmarked for that specific purpose.  Steps will be taken to ensure that your money is spent exactly as you intended – and it cannot be used for any other purpose.

Chapter Donation – National Savings Account

You may prefer to have your donation go directly to support a chapter of your choice.  The national organization maintains individual savings accounts for each chapter.  These accounts then earn the highest interest rate that the national organization receives through its investments and savings.  The money is available for the chapter to use as needed.

Chapter Donation – Chapter Account

If you want your donation to go directly to the chapter for their immediate use, you can make a donation that will be sent directly to the chapter.  Donations to chapter accounts will be entirely the responsibility of the chapter officers to determine how the money is spent.

Scholarship Trust Donations

These donations are used to fund scholarship awards that are made annually to deserving Omega Phi Alpha sisters. The application for the award focuses on the cardinal principles of Omega Phi Alpha – and winners are chosen based on their ability to express their commitment to those principles

The Omega Phi Alpha Scholarship Trust is a separate entity from Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority. Donations to the Trust are tax deductible.
