Aside from traditional community service projects, service directly to active chapters is probably the most important way alumnae can stay actively involved. Alumnae are encouraged to do as much as possible to educate themselves and the chapters as to what direction the sorority needs to grow to continue its success, as well as helping chapters with specific needs that may arise.
If you live near a local chapter, assist them by becoming an alumnae adviser, volunteer to be a guest speaker at a meeting, help organize leadership retreats, or send financial support.
Alumnae can also serve at the district level and provide support to multiple chapters by serving as a traveling leadership consultant (TLC). Or serve as a director of alumnae activities to promote more alumnae participation in the district. You can also start an alumnae chapter in your area.
Complete the Volunteer Interest Form, so OPA can best match your interests, skills and talents with the sorority’s needs.
