National Organizational Structure

Omega Phi Alpha is divided into four main areas: national, district, alumnae, and active chapters.

The national level includes the National Board, which is made of the National Executive Board (NEB) members, the president of each chapter, and a legal advisor. The NEB is made up of ten or eleven elected members (this varies due to years the organization has a President elect or Past President on the board). Additionally, the national level includes various appointed officers, additional advisors, several committees, and one office assistant.

The district level includes two sets of officers: Traveling Leadership Consultants (TLC), and Active District Officers (ADO) for each of the eight districts. The districts have been drawn geographically to divide up the active chapters and provide a fairly even representation of where alumnae reside. Each district has at least one TLC, and three ADOs. TLCs are alumnae sisters giving back to the organization, and the ADOs are active students serving the organization at the district level.

The Alumnae Board of Directors (ABoD) represents alumnae and their sorority interests. The ABoD is broken down into six main areas: communications, sisterhood, Directors of Alumnae Activities (DAA), traditions, alumnae organizations, and special projects. More details on the ABoD and alumnae structure can be found in the alumnae section.

Active chapters are collegiate chapters that meet minimum service requirements each semester. Each active chapter includes a Chapter Executive Board, additional chapter officers and appointments, and general membership. Chapters vary from one to the other with regards to their diverse membership and the service projects they chose to complete in order to meet their national requirements. There are currently twenty-one active chapters.
